Welcome to Fort Lewis Mesa Library

Fort Lewis Mesa Library is located within Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary in Hesperus, Colorado. During school hours we serve students and staff. We serve the public after school hours and during school closures.
The collection at Fort Lewis Mesa Library includes a selection of Children’s, Young Adult, and General Fiction and Non-Fiction books, as well as audio books, games, puzzles, puppets, LEGOs, and STEM materials. Check out one of our many Busy Boxes and/or Explore It kits. We also have a selection of kids and general DVDs.
A public resource computer is available for research and general use, and we offer an AWE Computer with children’s educational games.

Summer Hours (June & July)
Monday – Friday: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

CURBSIDE PICKUP AVAILABLE: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pick up your materials from the pick-up bin outside the front door. You may also return previously checked out material in the blue drop box.

How can I support Fort Lewis Mesa Library?

- Volunteer – There is always something to do at a library. Our volunteers help shelve books, process materials and provide support at events. Contact the branch to see how you can help.
- Donate Books – Your book donations help us develop our collection as well as provide materials for the Friend of the Library District’s book sales.
